What it is

A daily shortlist finder. It watches ~500 of the most-traded stocks and, every 15 minutes, grades each one on how clean a tradeable setup it's showing — then hands you the best 5. It tells you where to look, not what to buy.

How it works

Live prices from your broker. Each name gets a 0–100 score from five things: in an uptrend? · moving averages lined up? · gaining momentum? · is volume showing up? · does it move enough to trade? Two lenses — Momentum (running now) and Buy-the-dip (pulling back inside an uptrend).

How to use it

  1. Check the regime bar — green = fine to hunt longs, red = careful.
  2. Pick a lens.
  3. Read the Top 5 — each has a plan (entry · stop · target).
  4. Use the table to dig for your own.
  5. Always use the stop.
✓ Spare Change upgraded — Config-DIFF · live 2026-08-24 Now drops the dead low-volatility names (bonds, staples, broad ETFs — 39% of its old trades barely bounced) and requires a volume climax on the dip. Keeps equal-weight sizing — vol-sizing hurt this bot.
Backtest · EODHD 2016–2026 · watchlistCAGRSharpeMax DDWin%Exp/trade

Config-DIFF (now live)+15.0%0.85−48%63.2%+0.25%
Slightly lower win rate, but 5× the expectancy. Note: much of the return is tech beta (tech-heavy watchlist in a tech bull) — it still trails QQQ buy-hold. A far better bot, not a market-beater.

Glossary — what every number means
Score 0–100 setup quality. Higher = cleaner, more tradeable setup. NOT a profit prediction.
Dir Long or Short bias — set by whether price is above or below its 200-day average.
RVOL Relative volume. Today's volume ÷ its 20-day average. Above 1 = more active than normal.
ATR% Average daily range as a % of price — how much it typically moves in a day (day-trade fuel).
RSI2 2-day RSI. Under 10 = very oversold (a dip); this drives the Buy-the-dip lens.
vs20 / vs50 / vs200 % above/below the 20-, 50- and 200-day averages. The 200 is the main trend line.
1m% / 3m% Price change over 1 and 3 months — momentum.
Trend (age) How many days in a row price has held on its current side of the 200-day — the trend's maturity. Fresh crosses (under ~10 days) whipsaw the most; roughly 1–8 months is the healthiest "prime" trend; over a year it goes stale and starts to fade. The score rewards prime trends and docks fresh/stale ones.
Regime Overall market weather: is the S&P above its 200-day, and how many names are trending up.
Lens Momentum = things running now; Buy-the-dip = oversold pullbacks inside an uptrend.
Bot marks Names your paper bots already hold, so you don't double up: S = Spare Change, V = Vanguard, G = Gringotts, O = Oracle.
